1. In the Field: Community Cultivation
- Pantry & Provisions Team: Help organize, pack, and distribute groceries to families in need. This is a direct way to be “deeply involved in the soil” of people’s daily struggles, providing the primary comfort of sustenance.
- Soup Kitchen Service: Assist with preparing and serving hot meals. This opportunity is about presence; it’s not just about providing food, but about being present and offering a listening ear to those who are often ignored.
2. Ministry of Presence: Comfort and Hope
- Hospital and Hospice Visitation: Be a source of encouragement and comfort to those facing serious illness. In the “darkest valleys” (Psalm 23), your presence decodes the message that they are not alone and that God has not hidden His face from them.
- Elder Care and Companionship: Spend time with the elderly in local care facilities. Many struggle with loneliness. Your visit, your conversation, and your time can be a powerful testament to God’s enduring presence.
3. Restoration and Growth: Mentorship and Support
- Youth Mentorship Program: Guide and support young people as they navigate the complexities of life. This is “Gardener” work—pruning, protecting, and nurturing the next generation so they may grow strong.
- Support Group Facilitator/Co-Facilitator: If you have experience or training, consider helping facilitate groups for grief, recovery, or single parenting. These are safe spaces where the “Silent Code”—that God listens—is made manifest.
4. Behind the Scenes: The Foundations of the Mission
- Special Events & Fundraising Support: Help plan and execute events that support the Mission’s various programs. This work is essential for ensuring the resources are available to do “the work in the garden.”
- Administrative & Technical Support: Use your skills in organization, data entry, or digital media to keep the Mission running smoothly. While less visible, this work is crucial structural support for all “in the field” activities.

“…the very existence of prayer suggests a God who is not a ‘Clockmaker’ who walked away, but a ‘Gardener’ who is deeply involved…”
